Hello There!
My name is Jo, I live in the Kent countryside with my husband, 2 sons, 3 cats, lots of fish?! and some adorable garden visitors (🐦⬛🐿️🦊🐭🦔🦇🦉🦆).
Cosinests (cosy 🥰 nests🪺) my little cosy online store, for lovers of all things cosy, where you can buy thoughtful cosy gifts, accessories and home decor.
I Never Thought I’d Have The Confidence To Work For Myself...
All my life I worked as a PA for other companies. When I became a stay at home Mum, I was bringing up two small boys close in age and I had this guilt that I was no longer working. However I helped run a playgroup and when the boys started school I signed up to the PTA to help organise the Christmas Fair....
Where The Idea Of Cosinests Began...
My job was to source stalls and companies to attend the fair but I couldn’t find anyone that sold cosy Christmas decorations, unique gifts or cosy accessories. So I decided to invest some of my own savings to buy some stock and have my own stand at the fair. I sold so much and LOVED sourcing all the cosy goods, that I decided to continue. For a few years I sold at village fetes, playgroups and lots of Christmas fairs and eventually I took the leap and invested in my own website, and so Cosinests evolved to a little online store.
Why I Love Cosy...
I have always loved making my family feel cosy...baking, crafting, creating a party theme they'll love and am always seeking out thoughtful cosy ideas and gifts (I love to give gifts). Also I am at my most happy when I am at home, in my cosy nest, with my loved ones.
Ultimately I know that life can be hard, cruel & sadly even scary at times. Like most, I would much rather live in a more caring and peaceful world. I believe the feeling of Cosy can be the antithesis that helps us to feel safe, comforted and a great way to de-stress and focus on life's positives again.
When someone you love is having a bad day, it can be the simple things, the cosy and caring things that can make all the difference. I can't solve the world's problems, but I can bring a little cosy to someone's day.
